Day trip to the Kayaking Experience [or SUP Boarding] And Sake Tasting

Event time : 07:00AM -19:30PM

Let’s go kayaking (or SUP boarding) along the gentle Okutama river while enjoying beautiful scenery and the gorgeous nature!

Short walk on a nice riverside trail to the local sake brewery where we can try and taste some local made sake.

A leisurely day exploring the great Japanese outdoors!

Trip Features;

• Meet outside JR Mitake station (one exit only) at 11:40am
• Short walk to the Kayak Base Center
• Get the gear on (wet/dry suit, windbreaker jacket, etc.)
• Get on the van
• Short drive to Shiromaru
• Short walk down the river
• Safety talk and learn the basic paddling technique
• River kayaking (or SUP boarding) from 12:30pm until 3pm
• Drive back to the kayak/SUP shop
• Take a shower/change clothes/enjoy a hot coffee or cold beer
• 20 minute walk along a nice riverside trail to Sawanoi Sake Brewery
• Sake tasting from 4pm until 5 (optional)
• Visit the nearby local onsen (optional) or head back to Tokyo

IMPORTANT NOTES

• Itinerary may vary due to the weather, traffic conditions, and other unavoidable circumstances.
• This event is ON rain or shine unless there’s a typhoon.
• The current of the river we will be kayaking (or SUP boarding) on is gentle.
• Kayaking (or SUP boarding) first-timers and beginners are totally welcome!
• The trip will proceed on time with or without you so please don’t be late. Check your train times beforehand and spare some time as train connections can be complicated.
• Train fare and lunch not included in the price.
• Sake tasting and onsen are optional. You can go back straight to Tokyo after kayaking (or SUP boarding) if you want.
• Final details will be sent to the participants two days before the event.

A. 12 hours before the tour - 50%

B. 24 hours before the tour - 40%

C. 2~7 days before the tour - 30%

D. 8~10 days before the tour - 20%

E. 11~20 days before the tour - 10%

F. 21 days before - 0%

• ※Even if last-minute reservations and payments have been made, WelcomeTokyo will contact you if the number of participants exceeds the number of participants for the event. If we are unable to increase the number of participants, we will refund the participation fee. In that case, we will do it without charge.
