💼 Job Responsibilities: Your Role in Event Operations

You'll be responsible for the overall operation of our international exchange events. Your welcoming smile and attention to detail will be key to making each event a success!

  • Venue Setup (Simple): Before the party begins, you'll help prepare the event space. This includes arranging tables, chairs, and name tags. Don't worry, we provide clear instructions! You'll also help create a fun atmosphere with music and lighting.

  • English & Japanese Reception/Customer Service: Greet participants with a smile, check them in using the WelcomeJapan app, and guide them. Your warm welcome helps everyone feel comfortable and ready to mingle.

  • Participant Matching & Conversation Support: Many attendees are meeting for the first time, so you'll play a crucial role in breaking the ice and sparking conversations. Sometimes, you might even act as a translator or offer support to those who are shy. Your encouragement will help conversations flow naturally!

  • Photography & SNS Promotion Support: Capture the lively atmosphere by taking photos and videos with your smartphone. You'll also naturally interact with guests while taking pictures. These images and videos will be sent to headquarters for social media use, so your photography skills will definitely improve!

  • Event Report Creation & Submission: After the event, you'll complete a simple report.

  • Online Tasks (30-60 min, paid separately): After returning home, you'll have some easy online duties. Our custom-developed communication app makes it simple to submit event reports, photo data, and communicate with headquarters. You can do it all from your smartphone, making it perfect for using your free time effectively! Customer inquiries are mainly handled through the WelcomeJapan app with templates, or escalated to HQ if needed. You won't have to handle phone calls with customers.



🗓 Work Schedule: Fixed Part-Time Hours

We're looking for staff who can work at least 2 days a week on a fixed schedule.

  • Wed, Fri, Sat: On-site from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM + 30-60 minutes of online tasks (paid)

  • Sun: On-site from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM + 30-60 minutes of online tasks (paid)

If you need time off, you can switch shifts with other staff members. We're also flexible with long vacations if arranged in advance.



📍 Work Location: Central Osaka - Shinsaibashi Area

Shinsaibashi Station area, Osaka (walking distance from the station)



💰 Salary & Benefits: Competitive Pay & Perks

  • Hourly Wage: ¥1,400 to ¥2,000 (with performance reviews 3 times a year for raises)

  • Incentives available

  • Commuting Allowance: ¥500 per day

🧑‍💼 Requirements & Welcomed Skills: Experience Not Always Needed!

  • Ability to commit to at least 1 year of employment (please indicate your estimated end date).

  • Ability to work a fixed schedule of 2 or more days per week year-round.

  • Proficiency in Japanese equivalent to JLPT N4 or higher is required (please submit your test results).

  • High school students, those seeking a side job, and beginners are all welcome!

  • Experience living abroad, currently studying English, or a TOEIC score around 700 are a plus (but not required!).

  • If you hold a Working Holiday Visa, you must have a remaining visa period of 10 months or more.

  • Native English speakers or fluent English speakers, and those looking for opportunities to practice Japanese, are highly encouraged to apply!

💼 Your typical day as an event staff member: WelcomeTokyo events always draw a crowd of international and Japanese participants. Your smile and attention to detail will make a huge difference! 🌏✨

🏠 ① Venue Setup:

Before the event starts, you'll set up tables, chairs, name tags, and more. Don't worry, there's a clear process to follow. You'll put on some music and adjust the lighting to create a fun and inviting atmosphere.

🙋‍♀️ ② Welcoming Guests & Registration:

Greet participants with a smile, check their names against the WelcomeJapan app reservation list, and guide them. If someone seems a bit nervous, offer a friendly word to help them relax! ✨

You'll explain the event flow, announce pair changes, or introduce conversation themes when it's time. Your announcements will help participants start talking naturally!

👥 ④ Engaging with Guests & Support:

Since many participants are meeting for the first time, a little icebreaker or an energy boost from you is key. Sometimes you'll step in to translate or help someone who's shy join the conversation.

📸 ⑤ Photography (for social media) + Interacting with Guests:

Capture event moments with your phone! 📷 While taking photos, it's important to naturally chat with guests and build rapport. You'll take photos and videos for social media and send them to HQ. You'll get better at photography too!

📝 ⑥ Closing:

After the event, you'll say "Thank you!" as participants leave. You'll also check for forgotten items and ensure everyone has a pleasant departure.

🧼 ⑦ Cleanup & Venue Reset:

This involves simple tasks like putting tables back in place and gathering trash. It's the moment you get to feel the satisfaction of a successful event!

🏠 ⑧ Head Home! + Online Reporting (compensated):

After returning home, there's a short online task (30-60 minutes). Event reports, photo submissions, and communication with HQ are all done through our in-house communication app. All can be done on your smartphone!
